The Benefit Of Trust

We all know of someone who suffered as the result of taking advice from an unreliable source. They may have taken the advice of a family member, friend, co-worker, neighbor or even a service professional, only to find out that they are now worse off than ever. The thing about taking advice is that everybody seems to have the right answer, but in reality, there is only One who has the right answer! When it comes to taking advice for the matters of life, there is only One reliable source.

In Psalm 1:1-3, we find these words; “Blessed are those who do not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but who delight in the law of the LORD and meditate on his law day and night. They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.” God desires to provide both security and stability into the lives of humanity but that benefit comes only from trusting in God. The trees are planted next to the source of their provision and the only requirement from them is let their roots go deep! Wow!  They don’t worry about growing, being productive or even the threat of a drought simply because their roots go deep.

Trusting God is merely deepening your “root system” and as you face the challenges of life, go deeper! God’s way may not seem logical, explainable, or even doable at times, but take His advice for your life. What you will discover is that you will continually flourish, consistently produce and confidently succeed!
